The Boston radio station WBOS has hosted a spring concert called EarthFest for the past several years. It happens at the Hatch Shell on The Esplanade, usually close to Earth Day, but over the years there's been a lot of poor weather so I think they moved it back a month to try and increase the chances for a nice day.
Given the recent weather, they could be washed out again.
I've gone once and saw Nickel Creek. It was fun; though wet. Wet is good for some; it keeps the crowds at bay. That's the problem with big free events in a large city. Too many damn people.
This years acts include: Los Lonely Boys, James Blunt, and They Fray. I'm thinking of going; just depends on the weather.
